The Karsan emblem has two parts. On the left sits a red geometric symbol made of sharp triangles that point to the left; the shapes fit together like a stylised K and also read as an arrow. On the right the name KARSAN is set in light, evenly spaced grey capitals. The red and grey design is clean and flat, and the Karsan symbol is the red mark alone, while the Karsan badge adds the name beside it. This Karsan truck logo identifies the brand’s buses, minivans and light commercial vehicles, and the Karsan logo PNG on this page comes with a transparent background.

Karsan History

The company began in 1966 with 269 independent entrepreneurs. For its first 15 years Karsan built bus bodies in various sizes for other automotive companies. In 1979 Koç Holding bought the majority of the shares. From 1981 Karsan built the J9 minibus under an agreement with Peugeot that lasted 30 years, and in 1997 it began building Turkey’s first minivan with Peugeot.

The J9 Premier, started in 2006, was the first vehicle Karsan made entirely itself, and the 100,000th J9 Premier was built in 2008. In the same period the company took on contract work for Hyundai, Renault Trucks and Citroën. Bus production began in 2011 with a first large bus for Rome, and an agreement signed with IETT in 2012 covered 450 buses, later raised to 540.

In 2013 the range became Karsan’s own Jest, Atak and Star. The first electric model, the e-JEST, appeared in 2018 and was electrified by BMW i, and the e-ATAK followed in 2019. The e-ATA 10, 12 and 18 were launched in 2021, together with an autonomous e-ATAK. Karsan entered the Japanese market with a right-hand-drive e-JEST in 2023 and the UK market in 2024.
