The Renault Trucks logo is the Renault diamond drawn as nested black outlines, set beside the name RENAULT TRUCKS stacked on two lines. Renault Trucks is a French commercial truck maker headquartered in Saint-Priest near Lyon, and part of AB Volvo since 2001.

The Renault Trucks emblem pairs a symbol with a wordmark. In it, the Renault Trucks symbol is a diamond built from thin parallel black lines that fold into each other. The name is written to its right in bold black capitals, RENAULT on the first line and TRUCKS on the second. The design is black on white, with no other colour. The diamond works as the Renault Trucks badge on the cab front, and the stacked name is the Renault Trucks truck logo on the grille and cab. Renault Trucks Logo History

The old Renault Trucks logo is a red square with a three-dimensional chrome diamond in the middle and the name RENAULT TRUCKS in black capitals underneath. The red square gave the badge a strong background on the front of the trucks. It is dated around 2002 to 2021, from the year the company took the Renault Trucks name until the redrawn diamond appeared.

From around 2021 the new Renault Trucks logo replaces the chrome diamond with the flat line-art diamond of the Renault design. It drops the red square and sets the name in black to the right of the symbol. The change turns a shiny badge into a flat black design.

Renault Trucks History

Renault first built dedicated commercial trucks in 1906, but stopped producing trucks and buses under its own name in 1956 and formed the subsidiary Saviem instead. In 1975 Renault acquired the truck and bus maker Berliet, and in 1978 Berliet and Saviem merged to form Renault Véhicules Industriels, which replaced the old brand names with the name Renault in 1980.

The company was called Renault Véhicules Industriels until 2002, when it became Renault Trucks. It has been a subsidiary of Volvo since 2001. Volvo invested about €2 billion in a new range, the Renault Trucks T, C, K and D, which was introduced through 2013.
