The JAECOO logo is a black wordmark in an angular, stencil-style typeface, with no separate symbol. JAECOO is a Chinese SUV brand of Chery Automobile, set up in 2023 and sold only outside China.
JAECOO Logo
The JAECOO emblem is the name itself. The letters are cut in a wide, squared typeface, and breaks in the strokes give it a stencil look, so the JAECOO badge reads as a technical, outdoor-minded mark. The design is black on a plain background, with no figure, shield or ring around it.
The wordmark works as the JAECOO symbol and the JAECOO car logo on the front and rear of the SUVs. This page offers the JAECOO logo PNG with a transparent background.
What the JAECOO logo means
Behind the JAECOO logo meaning is the name, a portmanteau of the German word Jäger, meaning hunter, and the English word cool. The stencil lettering fits that outdoor idea. In Iran the brand is known as Lucano.
JAECOO Logo History
The JAECOO logo history is a single wordmark. It has been the brand’s logo since the first presentation in April 2023, and the current wordmark keeps the same black stencil lettering.
JAECOO History
The brand belongs to the Chinese manufacturer Chery Automobile, a sub-division of Chery International. It was introduced in April 2023 in Wuhu, Anhui, together with its sister brand Omoda, and the two are known as the O&J brands. Both are sold only outside China to support Chery’s export strategy, and both targeted annual global sales of 1,400,000 units by 2030. Chery set up a sales company called Anhui Omoda Jaecoo Automobile in the same month.
The first models were the Jaecoo 7, a rebadged Chery Tansuo 06, and the Jaecoo 9, a rebadged Chery Tiggo 9 that was later renamed Jaecoo J8. Sales began in Russia in September 2023 with the J7 and J8. During 2024 the brand reached Western Europe, Malaysia, the Middle East, South Africa and Chile. It added the J6 EV, a rebadged iCar 03, in April 2024, and previewed the smaller J5 in October 2024. The electric J5 EV debuted in Indonesia in February 2025.
By August 2025 Omoda and Jaecoo had jointly sold 600,000 vehicles, and combined sales passed one million by April 2026. Jaecoo was named Carwow’s Brand of the Year for 2026 in the United Kingdom.
