Luxeed History
Anhui Luxeed New Energy Automobile Co., Ltd, known as Luxeed, is a premium electric vehicle maker owned by Chery and working with Huawei under the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA). Its Chinese name is 智界 (Zhìjiè), which means “intelligent world”.
In November 2023 Huawei announced the HIMA alliance and the Luxeed S7, developed together with Chery. The cars went on sale in selected Huawei showrooms alongside other HIMA brands. In June 2024 Luxeed launched its second model, the mid-size coupe SUV R7, and in the same month Huawei transferred the Chinese trademark 智界 to Chery.
In January 2025 Anhui Luxeed New Energy Automobile Co., Ltd was established as a company wholly owned by Chery, which made Luxeed an independently operated unit within the group. Development of a minivan began in August 2025, with a team that had worked on the Exeed E08 minivan. The model was named the V9 in December 2025 and is the first MPV offered by any HIMA brand.
