The Itala logo is a round badge: a blue disc with the name ITALA in tall cream capitals and a gold ring around the edge. Itala was an Italian car maker based in Turin from 1904 to 1934, and its name was revived in 2026 by DR Automobiles.

The Itala emblem is a blue disc framed by a thin gold ring and a white outline. The name ITALA runs across the middle in narrow, tall capitals, with the final A set smaller and lower than the other letters. The palette is blue, gold and cream.

The same lettering appears on the Itala badge fitted to the radiators of the cars, in an oval or shield-shaped plate. This page offers the Itala logo PNG with a transparent background, and the round Itala symbol works as the Itala car logo, a simple design for a marque of the early years.

Itala Logo History

The original Itala logo is the round blue badge with the gold ring, the mark of the Turin manufacturer that built cars from 1904 until the company ended in 1934. The brand name returned in 2026 under DR Automobiles, so the story of the Itala logo history belongs mostly to the early racing and touring cars.

Itala History

Itala was started in Turin in 1903 by Matteo Ceirano and five partners, and it built cars from 1904. The first year brought three cars: an 18 hp, a 24 hp and a 50 hp. In 1905 the company made very large racing cars, including a 14.8-litre five-cylinder model that won the Coppa Florio, and the following year it won the Targa Florio. In 1907 a 35/45 hp Itala driven by Count Scipione Borghese won the Peking to Paris motor race by three weeks.

Those results helped sales, and in 1911 the company produced 650 cars and 50 trucks. During the First World War it built aircraft engines at a loss. From 1924 the company was run under receivership, and Giulio Cesare Cappa from Fiat became general manager. His Tipo 61 with a six-cylinder alloy engine took the 2-litre class at the 1928 Le Mans 24 Hours.

Officine Metallurgiche di Tortona bought the company in 1929, a few more cars were built up to 1935, and the remains were sold to Fiat. In 2025 DR Automobiles bought the rights to the name, and in 2026 the re-founded brand showed the Itala 35, based on the GAC Trumpchi GS3 and styled by Italdesign.
