The emblem on this page, the Gordon Murray Automotive symbol, is the mark of the Gordon Murray Group, the parent company. It is a square badge divided down the middle: the left half is navy blue and the right half is dark green. A thin red and white stripe runs along the dividing line. In the centre sits a silver mermaid with a fish tail, her arms raised and one hand beside a small red disc. The design is simple, and the grey figure stands out clearly against the two dark colours, which makes this Gordon Murray Automotive emblem easy to recognise.

Gordon Murray Automotive History

Gordon Murray Automotive was founded in 2017 by Gordon Murray, a former Formula 1 designer who also created the McLaren F1. The company began with a focus on limited-run supercars.

In 2020 it launched the T.50, a lightweight, driver-focused supercar seen as a continuation of the thinking behind the McLaren F1. The T.50 has a 3.9-litre Cosworth V12 engine that revs to over 12,000 rpm. Its ground-effect fan system is a nod to the Brabham BT46B “Fan Car”, which Murray designed for Formula 1 in 1978. A track-only T.50s Niki Lauda edition, limited to 25 cars, was revealed in 2021. Production of the T.50 began in 2023 and ended in 2025 after 100 cars were built.
