Brand History
Fuzhou Auto Works began operations in 1969 in Fuzhou, China. The company first concentrated on commercial vehicles before broadening its manufacturing activities. During the 1980s it began producing SUVs, marking an important shift toward more diverse vehicle types.
In 1989 the company introduced its first passenger car under the Fuqi brand. This milestone represented a significant step in its evolution from purely commercial manufacturing to offering vehicles for individual consumers. The Fuqi car logo remained consistent throughout these early development years.
In 2003–2004 the manufacturer was acquired by Ningbo Huaxiang Group. This acquisition eventually led to a rebrand as Jiangxi Huaxiang Fuqi Automobile. Despite the corporate name change the visual identity stayed the same during this transition period.
Fuqi Logo Evolution
1969–2008: Original Fuqi Chevron Logo

The Fuqi emblem was introduced at the time of the company’s founding and remained in use until 2008. This design served the brand through its transition from commercial vehicles to passenger cars and survived the later corporate rebranding.
- Design: Bold upward-pointing chevron segmented into three distinct parts and enclosed within a perfect circle
- Colors: Turquoise as the primary color
- Changes: No documented modifications during the entire period the logo was active
- Context: Used from the founding of Fuzhou Auto Works through the partnership years and rebrand to Jiangxi Huaxiang Fuqi Automobile
The segmented chevron in the Fuqi symbol suggests layered progress and upward momentum while the encompassing circle represents wholeness and global reach. The turquoise coloring evokes serenity and innovation. This Fuqi badge appeared on vehicles during the company’s expansion into SUVs and its debut passenger car in 1989.
The original Fuqi logo png and related assets continue to serve as important references for understanding the visual identity of this Chinese manufacturer. The design’s longevity demonstrates the strength of its core symbolic elements even as the company underwent corporate changes.
The Fuqi logo meaning reflects the brand’s aspiration for continuous advancement within the competitive automotive landscape. As part of the broader Fuqi logo history this single long-lasting design captures nearly forty years of the company’s development from its origins in Fuzhou.
