The SANY logo is a red circle holding a three-armed symbol, set beside the name SANY in bold red capitals. SANY is a Chinese heavy equipment maker from Changsha, Hunan, known for concrete machinery, excavators and cranes.
SANY Logo
The emblem has two parts. On the left is a thin red ring, and inside it three narrow red strokes meet in the middle and spin outward like the blades of a turbine, which together form a triangular shape. To the right, SANY is written in heavy, wide capital letters in the same red. The red on a white background gives the SANY symbol a strong design that stands out on yellow and white machines. The SANY badge appears on the booms, cabs and bodies of its equipment, where a round mark names the maker at a glance. This page offers the SANY logo PNG with a transparent background.
What the SANY logo means
The SANY logo meaning is tied to the company’s name. The name Sany comes from the English pronunciation of the Chinese name 三一, Sānyī, which means “three ones”. It refers to three goals in the company’s vision: to build a first-class enterprise, to foster first-class employees and to make first-class contributions to society. The SANY emblem represents that phrase, because it contains three number ones linked together.
SANY Logo History
The SANY logo history on this page centres on one design: the red ring with three linked ones and the red wordmark beside it. It is the mark in use today and the one shown at the top of this page.
SANY History
The origins of Sany lie in Lianyuan Welding Material Ltd, founded in 1986 by Liang Wengen, Tang Xiuguo, Mao Zhongwu and Yuan Jinhua. They left their jobs and started it with sixty thousand yuan in the town of Maotang. In 1991 it was renamed Sany Group Co., Ltd. and its headquarters moved to Changsha. Sany Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. was founded in 1994 as a subsidiary of the group and went public on the Shanghai Stock Exchange on July 3, 2003.
In January 2012 Sany agreed to buy a 90 per cent stake in the German concrete pump maker Putzmeister. Sany was the third-largest heavy equipment manufacturer in the world as of 2012, and in 2021 it ranked 468th in the Forbes Global 2000. It has industrial parks across China and plants in countries including Australia, Brazil, Germany, India and the United States. Liang Wengen retired as chairman of the group in 2023.
