The GEM logo is a round blue badge ringed in silver, with the letters GEM in white capitals across the middle. GEM, short for Global Electric Motorcars, is an American maker of neighborhood electric vehicles and low-speed vehicles based in Fargo, North Dakota, and a subsidiary of Waev.
GEM Logo
The GEM emblem is a circle. A polished silver ring frames a blue face that darkens toward the edge and has a glossy finish, and the white letters GEM sit in the centre with a small registered-trademark mark beside them. The colours are blue, silver and white.
The round GEM badge is a simple mark for small electric cars, and it works both as the GEM car logo and as a standalone GEM symbol. The page offers the GEM logo PNG with a transparent background.
GEM Logo History
The GEM logo is a single round badge: a blue disc in a silver ring with white lettering, the mark the company uses for its vehicles.
GEM History
What does GEM stand for? Global Electric Motorcars. The company was founded in 1992 by a team of former General Motors engineers from Livonia, Michigan, under the name Trans2. A group of North Dakota investors bought it and moved it to Fargo, North Dakota. It built its first vehicle in April 1998, a 48-volt car for two passengers with a top speed of 20 mph (32 km/h).
Soon after, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration created the low-speed vehicle class, also called the neighborhood electric vehicle. It let GEM cars drive on public roads that meet safety rules such as seat belts, headlamps and safety glass. The cars run on a 72-volt battery system and can be plugged into a standard 120-volt outlet. By October 2015 more than 50,000 had been sold worldwide.
DaimlerChrysler acquired the company in December 2000. Polaris Inc. bought it from Chrysler in July 2011, and in January 2022 it became a wholly owned subsidiary of Waev. Its cars are used by government agencies, resorts, universities, campuses and taxi-shuttle services.
