Brammo Brand History
Brammo, Inc. was founded in 2002 by Craig Bramscher, a former Hollywood film executive turned entrepreneur. The company established its headquarters in Talent, Oregon, also commonly referenced as Ashland, Oregon. From the outset Brammo concentrated on electric vehicle technology, with a particular emphasis on electric motorcycles and advanced automotive drivetrains.
The company’s core mission centered on developing energy-efficient and environmentally friendly transportation solutions. Key product milestones include the introduction of the Brammo Enertia electric motorcycle in the 2008-2010 period, which brought the brand wider recognition. This was followed by the launch of the Empulse model offering higher speeds and greater range. Brammo later shifted the Enertia GT project to a battery electric vehicle platform and continues to develop electric drivetrains and energy storage systems focused on sustainability.
Brammo Logo Evolution
2002–Present: Primary Logo

The Brammo logo has remained consistent since the company was founded in 2002. This primary design features a bold, stylized uppercase wordmark paired with a symmetrical emblem that incorporates lightning bolt symbolism representing electric power and speed.
- Design: Minimalist and modern sans-serif typography with a symmetrical emblem split vertically down the middle
- Colors: Monochromatic black palette on a plain white background for high contrast
- Changes: No redesigns or modifications documented across the entire history
- Context: Introduced at founding and used continuously to reflect the brand’s technology-forward and environmentally conscious positioning
The lightning bolt motif within the Brammo emblem directly reinforces the company’s focus on electric motorcycles. This clean black-and-white approach emphasizes strength, clarity, modernity, and sophistication without any recorded evolution since its debut. The Brammo symbol continues to serve as the brand’s primary visual identity across its product lineup and communications.
