The Aion logo is a bold black wordmark that spells A-I-O-N in wide capital letters. Aion is the electric vehicle brand of GAC Group, a Chinese state-owned automaker based in Guangzhou.
Aion Logo
The Aion symbol is built only from letters. The A has no crossbar and an open base, the I is a plain vertical bar, the O is a rounded oval and the N is wide and flat. The Aion emblem has no separate pictorial badge, and the black letters on a white background make a clean design that fits the front grille and rear tailgate of an electric car without extra graphics.
The Aion car logo is shown in black, and the same wordmark serves as the Aion badge. This page offers the Aion logo PNG with a transparent background.
Aion Logo History
GAC Aion revealed a new Aion logo in September 2022. A 2024 version of the Aion logo is a lighter, widely spaced wordmark. The A is drawn as an open chevron and the O as a rounded rectangle, and the Chinese name 埃安 sits to the right of the letters. It is shown here as a dated version of the logo, next to the bold wordmark at the top of this page.
Aion History
GAC New Energy Automobile Co., Ltd. was established on 28 July 2017 as a subsidiary of GAC Group to develop connected new energy vehicles. Aion was introduced as an electric sub-brand in 2018, and its first model, the Aion S, was shown to the public in November of that year at the Auto Guangzhou show. In 2019 GAC announced 12 new models, which eventually included the LX, V and Y.
In November 2020 the company was renamed GAC Aion and became an independent operation separate from other GAC businesses. It builds battery electric vehicles under the Aion name and under a premium brand, which was launched in 2022 as Hyper and renamed Hyptec for Western markets in August 2024. In 2023 GAC Aion was the third-largest battery electric vehicle brand after Tesla and BYD Auto, with 480,003 vehicles produced.
In October 2023 GAC Group took over 100% ownership of GAC’s Changsha plant, which had been jointly operated with Mitsubishi Motors. From May 2024 the plant has had an annual capacity of 200,000 electric vehicles for Aion. In December 2025 GAC Group announced it would merge Hyptec and Aion into one business unit. The best-known models are the Aion Y and the Aion S.
