The Isotta Fraschini logo is a cream plaque with the name in red-brown script, a dark red square holding the letters IF, and the word MILANO below. Isotta Fraschini is an Italian luxury car maker founded in Milan in 1900, known for its straight-eight limousines of the 1920s.
Isotta Fraschini Logo
The Isotta Fraschini emblem is a vertical plaque with rounded corners and a cream background. The name Isotta Fraschini is written across the top in a handwritten script, split over two lines. Under it sits a dark red square with the white block letters IF, a monogram of the two family names, and the word MILANO runs along the bottom in red capitals. The colours are cream, dark red and white.
The IF monogram is the Isotta Fraschini symbol, and the script name above it makes the Isotta Fraschini badge easy to recognize as a car logo. This Isotta Fraschini car logo is also the design shown in the main picture. This page offers the Isotta Fraschini logo PNG with a transparent background.
Isotta Fraschini Logo History
The Isotta Fraschini logo history starts with the radiator badge of the 1920 Tipo 8. The name is written in the same flowing script directly on the radiator surround, and the IF monogram sits in a small circle under it.

The plaque shown as the main picture on this page keeps the script and the IF monogram and gives them a cream and red frame, with the city name added at the bottom.
Isotta Fraschini History
The company was founded in Milan on 27 January 1900 as Società Milanese Automobili Isotta, Fraschini & C. by Cesare Isotta and the brothers Vincenzo, Antonio and Oreste Fraschini. At first it imported and assembled Mors and Renault cars with Aster engines. By 1904 it was building its own cars, and it was among the earliest users of four-wheel brakes, the overhead camshaft and the straight-eight engine.
The Tipo 8, the first production car with a straight-eight engine, was shown at the Paris Salon in 1919, and deliveries began in 1920. In the 1920s Isotta Fraschini sold ultra-luxury limousines to wealthy buyers in North America, and film stars such as Clara Bow and Rudolph Valentino drove them. The Great Depression and World War II hurt the car business, the company turned to aircraft engines, and the original firm entered liquidation in 1949.
The name later split into an engineering business, Isotta Fraschini Motori in Bari, owned by Fincantieri, and an automotive marque revived in 2022 as Isotta Fraschini Milano Fabbrica Automobili in Milan. Its Tipo 6 LMH Competizione was unveiled in March 2023.
