The Rosenbauer logo is a red R-shaped symbol followed by the name “rosenbauer” in dark lowercase letters. Rosenbauer is an Austrian maker of fire-service vehicles and firefighting equipment, based in Leonding.

The Rosenbauer emblem has two parts. On the left is a red symbol in the shape of the letter R, built from sharp, angled cuts. To its right the name is set in heavy, squared lowercase letters in black. The red and black design is simple and stays readable in a small size on fire engines, equipment and documents.

The R is the Rosenbauer symbol, and with the name beside it the whole design serves as the Rosenbauer badge and the Rosenbauer car logo for the company’s vehicles. The red echoes the colour of fire apparatus. The page offers the Rosenbauer logo PNG with a transparent background.

Rosenbauer History

The first Austria-wide firefighting enterprise was founded by Johann Rosenbauer in Linz in 1866. Besides manual fire pumps from other makers, it sold helmets, buttons and equipment for fencing, sports and playgrounds. Konrad Rosenbauer took over in 1888, and from then the company made its own fire extinguishing equipment. It later moved to a larger site and traded as K. Rosenbauer & Kneitschel.

In 1908 Rosenbauer began producing gas-powered pumps, and its first fire truck was built in 1918. In 1926 the Automobilspritzengesellschaft Lohner & Rosenbauer shipped its first vehicle to China. From 1930 the company also built its own two-stroke engines, though engines now come from others, notably BMW and Volkswagen. In the middle of the 1980s Rosenbauer introduced the Falcon, a vehicle with a chassis developed especially for firefighting.

The Rosenbauer Group is now the world’s third largest producer of vehicles and equipment for fire services. It is based in Leonding and supplies fire services in over 100 countries.
