The Peel logo is a round badge with a black triskelion, three running legs, in the centre and the name PEEL across the top. Peel Engineering was a company on the Isle of Man in the United Kingdom that made fibreglass boats, motorcycle fairings and microcars such as the P50.

The Peel emblem is a circular badge in light blue. A black triskelion fills the middle of a shield, a PEEL banner crosses the top and the word ENGINEERING runs around the lower edge of the ring. The triskelion is the three-legged emblem of the Isle of Man, where the company worked in the town of Peel.

The Peel badge is also known as the Peel car logo, and this page offers the Peel logo PNG with a transparent background.

What the Peel logo means

Peel logo meaning starts with its place of origin: the three legs of the triskelion represent the Isle of Man, the home of Peel Engineering. Together with the name of the town and the word ENGINEERING, the badge shows where the company was based and what it made.

Peel Logo History

The Peel logo history is short, because the same triskelion badge exists in two colours: the light blue version shown here, and a red version of the Peel symbol with the same shield and lettering on a deep red ring. Both keep the PEEL banner and the ring text, so the design stayed the same and only the colour changed.

Peel History

Cyril Cannell founded the Peel Engineering Company in Peel in the late 1940s. At first it made fibreglass fairings for motorcycles and cars, and later boats through its subsidiary West Marine Ltd.

In 1955 Cannell built the first Peel microcar, the Manxcar. The company went on to make the P-1000, the P50 and the three-wheeled Trident. The Peel P50 is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s smallest production car, and these models are the only cars ever built on the Isle of Man. Car production stopped in 1966, and the company returned to fairings and fishing boats. It was dissolved in 1974.
