Laraki Brand History
Laraki Automobiles s.a. was established in 1999 in Casablanca by founder Abdeslam Laraki. The company set out to develop and sell high-performance sports cars, becoming one of the few true sports car manufacturers based on the African continent. Its headquarters remain in Casablanca, Morocco, where the brand continues to operate as a low-volume producer.
The company’s early years were marked by rapid product development. In 2002 Laraki unveiled its first concept model, the Fulgura, at the Geneva Motor Show. A production version of the Fulgura followed in 2003, also debuting at Geneva. By 2005 the brand had introduced a slightly redesigned version of the Fulgura bodywork and announced its second concept model, the Borac.
Laraki Logo Evolution
1999 – Present: Original Laraki Logo

The Laraki logo has remained unchanged since the company’s founding in 1999. This long-term consistency reflects the brand’s stable identity as a manufacturer of luxurious high-performance sports cars. The emblem continues to appear on all official materials more than 25 years after its introduction.
- Design: Features a wing with a sharp tip
- Symbolic meaning: The sharp wing tip represents speed and performance
- Context: Introduced at brand founding and tied directly to the company’s focus on sports cars
- Usage: Serves as the Laraki car logo across all milestones from the Fulgura through to the Borac
The wing with sharp tip was chosen to embody the dynamic character of Laraki vehicles. This design choice aligns with the brand’s positioning in the high-performance luxury segment. The emblem effectively communicates the Moroccan company’s dedication to speed and exclusivity.
Laraki logo history shows remarkable continuity compared with many automotive brands that frequently update their visual identities. The original design from the 1999 founding year still serves as the current emblem. This stability reinforces the brand’s heritage as an independent Moroccan sports car maker.
The Laraki symbol remains a clear representation of the company’s core values. Its continued use across more than two decades demonstrates confidence in the original design decision made by founder Abdeslam Laraki. The emblem successfully captures the essence of the brand’s luxurious high-performance vehicles.
